Pigeons too, have facial recognition. Dogs can read faces and smell odors. Sharks can sense the electric field.

Chickens are great to get eggs from. I don’t eat chicken itself anymore. My mom has chickens in her yard (they have a chicken coop). I have a friend who also has chickens for eggs. Both take great care of their chickens.

I could watch chickens all day. They are gorgeous with all the variations in their plumage, and they are so funny in their behavior. They seem to know when I'm sad and having a hard day.

They have wonderful personalities. Roosters are incredibly sociable and fun.

I love chickens. They make great pets. Give eggs and fun to hang out with. Id put carpet on the ground. After a while you call the chickens and pull it up and they go nuts on the worms and centipedes and snails and whatever is there. The sounds they make. They cower when you pet them. Cute. Id pull the vines on the garage down and they would eat everything. They are smart. When it snows they dont come out of there house for a while because they know hawks and eagles can see them in fresh snow.

Aussie here , our magpie's are extremely vicious as are other bird's that swoop on a perceived threat to their nesting broods yet we have generations of Maggie's on our farm for 70 odd year's , in other word's they are our birds and we are their 2 legged thing's that take care of anybody who needs assistance , us kid's have left the farm then we get tracked by the bird's , we all learn how to mimick there call just to talk with them , believe or not , I don't care .
