It’s wild to me they would even consider changes to vanilla, let alone make them without consulting the community. They already have SoD for the classic+ stuff, honestly these changes are baffling.

i gave up on Blizzard long ago. The very fact they dont ban fly hacker boosters or people buying gold just to buy gear from raids tells me all i need to know.

As a boomer player, that loved blizzard in its early days, I keep trying all these new or re released renditions of wow. From classic, tbc, wotlk, and sod, none of them hit like they use too. So, I decided to try the private server scene out, and oooo man, it feels nostalgic, yet there is still mystery in discovering the world like it was back in the day. No guides online, just you, interacting with others to find answers, as mmos are designed to do. Turtle wow is top notch.

Ive been having fun with tons of friends i made on Era over the past year and these changes just feel like a dagger. I played horde this go around and enjoyed the rend buff and windfury. Horde dont feel like horde now

I can understand it can be frustrating as an ally pumper who would like to get high parses, but then there is a world buff that only the sweatiest and most well connected people can get.

I am a SOD player, retail and Cata player and I have no idea why they did that to era totally uncalled for and unwarranted. This is FUBAR and I hope they revert it for you guys. PS. That social interface is absolutely horrendous!

I've been a supporter for a while, especially with restedxp even buying the guides..but this is doing too much imo. It's not that deep or that big of a deal especially not to make a petition over. I get it you love vanilla but this is going overboard..getting this worked up over a buff and weapon skill is kinda weird

The only things that I don’t like about these changes are the guild tab and most of all the fact it makes Kargoz want to quit again.. We just got you back man, we don’t wanna lose you again..

Learned today that Blizzard has permanently changed Classic Era Vanilla WoW my favorite game so that Druids can now use polearms for some reason and Alliance has a new world buff equivalent to Warchief's blessing. They've also added new retail user interfaces for guild management and voice chat enabled by default. I'm not sure why this hits such a nerve with me but it truly does. How can they just lackadaisically change the best version of the game without any sort of due process or polling the community in anyway. This isn't a seasonal change this is the new permanent form of vanilla wow played on official servers. Druids can now train and use polearms and alliance just have warchiefs blessing. I know we have a good thing going on deviate but i just want to walk away from it all and be done with blizzard..we need to somehow try one time to get them to revert these changes and leave era alone moving forward...do whatever you want to SoD or Cata but don't touch Vanilla ever again.
