The Miniature World Of Kit & Caboodlers

Which project would you like to see us start first?

@SigneofHorses

I hope you call the new house β€˜ Bickering Manor’ :) And perhaps you could glaze the ocher and red to liven it up again but keep the distressed look. Also.. the mini horse brasses!!! I’ll have to go look for them for my miniature horse.

I agree with Kate on the outside of the big dollhouse, leave it looking distressed, which will keep the history and handmade folk art quality of it intact (which I think is quite charming and attractive). And lest you think the Kates are ganging up, I would clean up the interior and let the furnishings be the focus.

@E.M.system

I think you should call the house Eris, like the greek goddess of strife who dropped the golden apple of discord at a wedding, causing a dispute among the gods. I think Eris would be very fitting πŸ˜„

Leave the outside of the doll house as original as you can, just clean it up. However, how cool would it be to open the inside and see an entirely different world of the Kit and Kaboodle completely refurbished πŸ’™

I'm just so delighted to have new videos to watch... LOL! I'll be so excited to make a pot of tea and settle in for a weekly "visit" I wont worry which house it is.

Hate the depressing distressed look. Give the new house a pretty exterior. It would be great to see you both rework the outside of a house for a change up.

@suesheppard-g7t

Hi I love both doll houses and i feel the larger house which i voted for is like a living museum and would be amazing to show some wood and the original wall paper and use the scraps within the decor to show others how they were made and decorated like a catalogue of the past

@Connies_Ballroom

Keep it as is. Use your existing doll house stuff to make it. Usually your doll houses are so full that you can barely see the floor and walls. So using what you have and putting stuff up on the walls would be a good way of decorating them. Also, I vote for not doing 1940s on this one because I believe Fleur's dollhouse is 1940s already, is it not? This all looks very exciting.

@marygatdula2744

I only answered the 1940's house because it seems to be in pretty bad shape. I think it needs some attention pretty quick if it's to be preserved.

@auntydave339

I think that you should remove the white paper and give it a clean up, only, as for the inside, maybe just try and repair the old paper?

@karenunrau1379

Seeing as it's been months, and it's almost even, maybe clean up the dollhouse B, then you can think about it while you work on the 1940's dollhouse.

@Creativeme2358

I think removing the recently added would be ok. Adding back the paper that was lost but it would not take away from its history. Every house should have conservation if not restoration. I feel clean up and touching up a bit would not harm. Add brick back to the areas that originally had brick. Restoring the bell and lights would bring life back to the house.

@kathrynclements6472

I say take pictures of how it looks now, then fix it up the way Fleur suggests. It just doesn't feel like the dolls could take pride in the state of this house.

@darrenblake2362

Hello Fleur and Kate ,hope your well.i really like the new dolls House but would love to see the 1940's completed first for the teddy bear wallpaper reminds me of the nursery I decorated for the birth of my first son. The wallpaper i put up was quite similar to that teddy bear wallpaper in the 1940,s dollhouse.

@janamiranda4118

I have some old doll's house furniture that no one in my family is the least bit interested in. I don't know if they were originally my mom's (b. 1943) or my grandmother's (b. 1912). I would love to send them your way, if possible. Feel free to message me if you would like them via FB messenger (Jana Wilton Miranda).

Maybe start with the roof and work your way down. What ever you do first it will look wonderful in the end.
