This applies to everything, not merely beauty science, and should be marketed as such! You’re the bomb! If more ppl thought like this, were taught things like this (no coincidence there’s lots of overlap with fallacies of logic here), i don’t think we’d be losing our country rn here in the US…

Wow this really brings tools Like CRABS into the modern era. If I was still teaching English Composition, I could totally see myself using this.

I watched a video a while back where Framing Logic broke down the arguments of one of these influencers with logic 1 line at a time. They can often speak fast and confusing for a reason, to throw you off. It was a great video. The crack pot he was analyzing was raging against how she thought carrots were bad and we were killing our kids with them. Lol hilarious at first but she had all the markers of a manipulative cult leader and their tactics. Scary when broken down.

Hey, this is a great infographic! Is there any way you could turn it into a printable pamphlet? A lot of the people who need to see this aren't the kind of people who are reading your community posts, and it might do more good to leave physical copies around public areas instead where people who are less online can find them.

I so enjoy your channel! You may have covered this already, I couldn’t find it though: what do you think of bond repair products and is layering them even useful (for instance using various Olaplex products in sequence)? Is K18 better? It worked better for me than Olaplex but I don’t know if they basically have the same active ingredients? I’m also interested in info about what happens to hair when you color or bleach (I use a Demi-color called Colorance plus but it has a peroxide lotion, just less than a permanent color)? What can you do to repair or modulate damage from color? Again, hairdressers recommend using a bond repair product but how? What’s most effective? Thank you so much! Keep busting the Dr advice!

This is great but the people who need to learn this the most don’t have great reading skills

The US would be a better place if everyone knew this 😭 it sucks that people in my country do not think critically

Love it! Most people don't care to visit a blog, I don't think many would check their Experts, but this sets a guide for actual experts and comunicators to double check their sources.

I saw someone making a video on sunscreen that was HEAVILY inspired by yours, but there was no mention whatsoever of your channel, not to mention that it was only mentioned that they were a PhD in the area

How do you spot dodgy experts? Here's a quick guide to some common red flags 🤔
I go through this in my Fake Experts video as well! I designed this with Jen of @TheEcoWell who has a great free conference coming up on beauty misinformation - please let us know if you find this useful!
