The Entertainment Guy

I know there are people that are wanting an update on me and my health. On Thursday I had a medical emergency; I was hit with extreme pain in the abdomen. We had to have emergency workers carry me out of our house because I could not move. I was in so much pain. I was that obnoxious person in the ER. They were able to get me in for a CAT scan and found that I had a rupture from an ulcer that I was not aware of. They had to take out and rearrange some of my digestive system and they sewed it back up. They have had me on very large doses of pain meds and antibiotics. I have a tube tube going down my throat to help drain my intestines. I am not able to eat or drink anything. I think I'm going to have nightmares about this tube for years.
Had this not happened and we went on our flight, it very likely would have killed me. The doctor has reiterated several times that this was very, very dangerous and I am very lucky to be here.
My surgeon has been consulting with other surgeons and will be transferring me to Surrey tomorrow which has some of the best doctors and has a doctor that specializes in my situation. I have had amazing care in Abbotsford, with my nurses who have been the best.
I also want to say a huge thank you to everybody that has reached out to me through Facebook, discord, and Instagram. It really does help knowing that there are so many people out there who really care. And thank you for being so kind and patient with Shannon as he is going through a whole lot of stress right now. Thank you for being so understanding. I hope this somewhat made sense. My brain has been in such a cloud of fuzz for week now. I don't think it helps not eating or drinking anything for a week. LOL.

That's horrifying to learn about. People don't realize just how dangerous damage to the inside of your stomach lining/stomach can be. It can be fatal within hours if it's not discovered and treated quickly (the stomach protects powerful acids and other chemicals your body uses to break down food ... you do not want those chemicals getting into other parts of your body). It's a huge relief to learn that you are on the road to recovery.

I’ve had my share of health issues and pain, so I know how awful they can be. I had a similar situation when I had untreated C. difficile and a friend of my sister’s had to drive me to emerg in Vancouver to get diagnosed and treated. Glad you’re doing better. I’ve had over 20 surgeries, so I know how things can go sideways quickly. You’re the backbone of these channels and I know what you mean to Shannon and the rest of us. Take your time and don’t push it.
