I'm a balanced mixture between the first three. I make what I want, to the standard I expect of myself and I tend to always have more ideas than I can keep up with.

I tend to look for a picture and copy it. I’m struggling to fine my own style.

The practical one. I only make stuff I actually can use and won't end up in a drawer

I am a different category… I collect tools… And I mix and match to see the different media I can create… Like mixing sewing tools to help me paint… Or using my Stainglass tools to help me draw… Love your content ❤️

I am often a mix between the second and third point. I want my project to exude beauty, magnificence, and perfection, but I spend so much time planning every detail from which media, adding details, subtracting details, finishes, having text, or really anything to accentuate the piece more that I become overwhelmed and do not start or do not complete said project.

The process has changed for me as my mental health improves. I was always artistic but got bogged down by either perfectionism or plain lack of confidence ( probably driven by the perfectionism) lol. I’m doing what my mind and body wants to express now in whatever medium suits. I recently had a leap forward in ability with this metamorphosis in my mental health. Very exciting! Oh and I’ve stopped worrying about what mediums I use together to achieve my vision.

1st one with a little personal modification. I'm of course a free spirit and I make what I want and also when I want. I've got lots of free time but not that I use them all to draw/doodle. I can just lay down in my bed doing nothing. But when I doodle, I do that for myself. Art/creativity is something that depends so much on mindfulness, the wellness of mind. Creativity comes only when I can imagine freely without any stress, not even any plan on what I'm about to create.

I feel like I am a little of all the above! I waste too much time sometimes looking at inspiration than creating though and that needs to change!

Where do u fall on this list??? I for sure live inside my head and have a hard time taking things out of it and putting them on paper. I'm stingy with things of mine that feel like secrets even tho that's silly and I wanna put em on paper lol. It's complicated I guess.

Let’s do something fun.
Every artist has a different rhythm—some dive in without hesitation, following whatever excites them in the moment, while others obsess over tiny details, chasing an image in their mind that never quite feels finished. Some spend more time imagining than actually creating, lost in the possibilities of what could be, while others jump from medium to medium, constantly chasing new ideas and techniques. No two creative paths are the same, but we all have tendencies that shape the way we make art.
Vote in the poll, then tell me: Did I miss a type? How would you describe your creative style?
