I never went to church growing up but in the 6th-9th grade I went to a Christian school. The first verse I learned was John 14:1-3. My teacher had breast cancer and since there were a bunch of public school students who never knew about the Bible my teacher was kind enough to have us remember John 14:1-3. We had to learn it and for a test write it down on a piece of paper. To this day I'm 42 years old I still remember this verse. I think when I die it will be on my grave.
