The Smoldering Bog – Full Blender Tutorial Series
This tutorial series will guide you through the entire process of creating The Smoldering Bog, a realistic, cinematic swamp environment in Blender. Each part covers a crucial stage, from blocking and modeling to texturing, lighting, and final post-processing.

📌 Part 1 – Sketch, Composition & Scene Blocking
In this first part, we analyze the initial sketch and set up the composition using Blender’s camera tools. We’ll define the scene layout and create the base landscape before moving into detailed modeling.

📌 Part 2 – Texturing & Lighting
With the scene built, we now focus on realistic textures and lighting. We’ll use AO maps, normal separation, and glass shaders to create detailed materials, then set up a cinematic lighting system with volume fog and atmospheric effects.

📌 Part 3 – Vegetation, Fog & Final Adjustments
In the final part, we bring the scene to life by adding realistic trees, grass, and foliage using GeoScatter and a secret Paint Add-on. We’ll also introduce a poisonous fog effect, enhance foreground details, and add the finishing touches in Krita.
