It's probably more simpler for people who want to recreate your projects to solder through-hole components compared to SMDs.

THT with socket is helpful for future upgrades or OPAMPs and to test the performance of multiple chips and choose the best for the project.

everyone can make your projects wth through hole easily

i guess if the components dont have a lot of pins , then smd is better , but if pins are more , through hole is suitable beacause few people have the access of a hot air soldering machine .

Yeah... Max 😊 but not everyone had hot air station... That's problem

Maybe make a version for each one? I bet the pcb software would treat it the same and not miss a beat. I personally like smd but i bet you could do both.

I'd like to see a challenge with SMD, except provide a simple way we can do so, or even a mox of the two with a majority being through hole and one being smd.

Which is convenient for you make with that😊

i just ordered a new soldering statio for 90 bucks with a heat gun and a soldering hot plate for total of 125 bucks , i voted for through hole because it will be easy for others.

Unless I could use a hairdryer I’ll be sticking with through hole for now 😂

can you please if i can use aluminum foil found in kitchen to replace the copper sheet

SMD. Use 1206 as these are easy enough to solder without proper gear

Woah! I am actually really surprised by the results. I guess for most people SMD seems too difficult? Got to wonder! I find it so much easier! Interesting

mini invevtions a subcriber gave you the idea for this right?

Max Imagination
Should I use THT or SMD components in the next project?
(Modules and Through hole (THT) or Surface-mount Device (SMD) components?)
What are you most comfortable using in your projects?
