Cook Well w/ Ethan Chlebowski

Hey y'all! Do you have any recipe requests you want to see on this channel?

Personally I would really like to see content about planning a 'menu' Like, how to go about composing a mix'n'matchable set of 15-30 minute meals that are nutritionally complete and work off of a coherent set of groceries. Grocery selection, meal prep, versatile ingredients, and macro guidance would all be relevant video topics, along with example recipes of the concepts in action; 4 ways to take a chicken thigh with a spice rack and let's say 5 other fridge/pantry staples Probably a main channel concept but this is the post I've actually seen soliciting ideas, so here it is :P

High protein, healthy "grab n go" type options for busy work weeks - breakfast, lunch, snacks/mini meals etc.

Dishes that use beans or eggs. Those are my main protein sources here lately.

@kgenise

anything that would be good for meal prep! esp breakfasts that have some veggies in them, too many breakfast meal prep recipes are seriously lacking in veg

One were you take 1 or 2 recipes and modify them to show substitutions you can do when you are out of an ingredient but you don’t or can’t get more might be interesting

Different types of pies and pie doughs. Hand pie doughs, meat pies, fruit pies, quiche, savory vs sweet, baked vs fried, flour vs cornstarch thickener, etc.

Maybe try a fridge clean out curry. Something quick with things you would have leftover or in just a normal fridge. My wife and I do a freezer clean out every spring to try to use everything we preserved the summer before. Could be a more relatable video.

Would love more variation / ideas on your previous "meal prep" style videos. We braise so many of our proteins now, it's such a useful method, but during the summer / hotter months, recipes that rely less on tons of long cooking methods would be great! Keep up the great work, love the new format!

@chorean

You should do a series where people send you pics of whats in their fridge and you come up with a recipe based on what they have

Would love to see some interesting sides you can contribute if you’re the guest to a cookout or holiday gathering with extended family.

I'd love to see some creative sweet recipes. Higher protein, lower calories etc. I'm tired of Greek yogurt mixed with cocoa powder and a few hazelnuts being called "Ferrero Rocher" dessert lol

Fritatta or japchae. I think other recipes that have a misconception on the time and effort involved. Like making pesto with a mortar and pestle. It takes just as long as the food processor when factoring clean up but the result is so much different. Things like curry pastes. This one of the things I have loved about watching Kenji’s recipes. I get an actual sense of the time and effort involved. Same for the videos you have put on this channel.

A good mushroom soup! Cream base preferable. With more than just cremini mushrooms and a gloopy base OR A frozen yogurt recipe!
