Good medical anecdote: A lecture at a medical institute… The professor comes in and says: — Before I tell you the topic of today's lecture, I will tell you a story from my own life. — When I was a student, I liked a girl, and my best friend liked her too. — The girl preferred him... — So I was left with a nose, and my friend without. — And so, the topic of today's lecture: "Syphilis and its consequences"

‘Syphiliticum’ sounds like the medium of how syphilis is transmitted

The only reason I know is cause my hospital failed to diagnose when I had syphilis and thought I had cancer instead. I had to get a biopsy for them to realize it was stage 2 syphilis

Pretty easy to remember that 'trepo' is from the Greek meaning turn or rotate with the suffix -nema in biology meaning thread. The bacteria that causes Syphilis is shaped like a thin, thread-like corkscrew.

@WhaleOWorld

I hope you cover the case of a man who injected himself with shrooms. The article is "A “Trip” to the Intensive Care Unit: An Intravenous Injection of Psilocybin" at Science Direct.
