📚 Call for Contributions: Share Your Experience/s for My Upcoming Book on Autistic Trauma 📚

I’m currently working on finishing up my book, which explores autistic trauma through both research and lived experience. To make the chapters as authentic and grounded as possible, I’m collecting short quotes from autistic people (diagnosed or self-identified) who feel able to share their experiences. I’d especially love to hear from people whose voices don’t often show up in the usual autism conversations — people of colour, LGBTQIA+ folks, non-speakers, people with higher support needs, those with complex comorbidities, and anyone whose perspective sits outside the typical Western narrative.

I’m looking for contributions specifically related to the following chapters:

School & Education
Work & Employment
Therapy
Medical Trauma
Criminal Justice System
Psychiatry

You can submit to one or multiple categories — whatever feels relevant to you.

❄️What to send❄️

Anywhere from 2–3 sentences to two short paragraphs
(Longer pieces may be used if particularly compelling.)

Keep your contribution directly related to the chapter topic and rooted in your own autistic experience.

You may choose to be anonymous in the book, but:

You cannot submit the consent form anonymously — the publisher requires your name for legal reasons (this will be kept confidential of course)
Please do not name or identify any other person, professional, school, or organisation in your quote

❄️How to contribute❄️

Please contact Ana directly at ana.muhlethaler@gmail.com, who is helping me manage the submissions. She’ll provide the required consent form and answer any questions.

Thank you so much in advance! The book is 95% done and I just have a few additions to go before the final submission!
