I've noticed that if I don't finish a project within about a week I'll rapidly lose interest in it and then just chuck it in the "maybe later" bin. That's fine by me though because it lets me have fun creating things without ever having to worry about deadlines. :) Edit: It also helps me not stress out about getting everything absolutely perfect lmao.

If I can't finish it within a day I can't finish it at all. Starting something and picking it up later is just something I can't bring myself to do. I have to get into it and enter a flow state and wrap it all up. Results vary, but it definitely helps with productivity.

Depends, sometimes I'm in the "I'll improve faster if I draw more and make incremental improvements with experience" and I can get things done in a day or two, other times I'm in the "take my time and try to make it as good as I can manage" and it can take on the order of months

Sometimes I’ll just come back like a month later in an attempt to finish it with my newfound skill, but with that new skill I realize the whole thing sucks and just make a new drawing I won’t finish instead of finishing it 🥀

Depends, if it's just drawing it's a matter of minutes maybe hours if it's REALLY complex. However if it's a fully painted and rendered illustration it takes around a month or more.

Even when I don't take ages to even start any kind of piece, it takes me around a week. 2-3 days for a sketch, a day for lineart, a day for coloring, maybe a day of rest in between too.

about 2-4 weeks :L, I struggle with two things when drawing, biting off more than I can chew, and perfectionism. A lot of things i have to learn and constantly adjust while I draw, especially if its a render.

i like to 1-sitting or 2-sitting most of my drawings, even if its sometimes detrimental to my colouring and shading phases, otherwise its in indifinite WIP unless i decide to look back through my art folder and finish something(which i have done a few times, tbf)

Varies Sometimes I can crank it out in a day for a simple piece, otherwise I might take 2 or 3

Ima casual, illustrating scenes or characters of a dnd session for friends. but 50% chance I might finish something in two sittings/ two days.. usually done by the end of the week.. it's really important I finish something quick before I get "bored of it" as another commenter said -- pacing is everything for drive

Around a week i like putting a lot of detail in my art and i also use a painting brush which makes me do a lot of repetitive brush strokes, and i also work with backgrounds and perspective so yeah It takes quite a while not to mention the lighting

I'm quite a fast painter in my younger years. If current life doesn't get in my way, I could produce at least two complete paintings in a day. Knowing work and health issues can take over far too often, it could take me months or a year or two to actually finish anything 😔

That depends, if I want my drawing insanely perfect and it takes like all the room on my paper. It might take me a month or two, depending on how detailed it is. If it’s like one character it takes me a day and like 2 hours at most.

Depends on my motivation for what I'm drawing. Some I do in under 4-5 hours others can take up to a month or never get finished.
