UnHerd

'If one looks at the past eight years — with power passing first from Obama to Trump, then from Trump to Biden, and then from Biden back to Trump — and looks underneath the hype and the rhetoric, the actual political story is one of subtle continuity. Rhetorically, Trump and Biden always agreed on one thing: that they were like night and day, completely opposed to each other, and the choice between them was the choice between two radically different sets of policies for America.

But this is simply not true if one actually looks at the evidence.'

@GNeuman

Same as in the UK, the reality is a Uniparty. The real power lies elsewhere, what you see are merely puppets, of that I am 100% convinced

Divide and conquer. Simple enough.

Please try out the experience of clicking through this ad to the article on mobile. I honestly wanted to read it but after clicking the link, dismissing the full screen cookie prompt, dismissing the ad, then reading a single sentence I have to dismiss a full screen prompt to enter my email to subscribe. I would rather come back here and tell you about the experience than continue to try to read the article. Wouldn't it make sense to prompt someone to subscribe AFTER they read the article? You know, after they have proven that it was valuable to them?

@piotrpp5478

spot on! thank you. Why are Americans so obsessed with passionate hatred for "the other side" of their political system, even thou it isnt that much different, is something that scares me. dont hate, love 💟💟

Continuity of Government. Two wings of the same bird. It’s not new.

The fact that his policies are completely different seems to have been missed br the author. Continuity would mean no protests from the left hahaha.

@cinemanuggets24

I guess that's why Americans voted trump. They realised biden and Hariss weren't any better. And Democrats haven't processed this truth. America has polarization without differentiation

This is the stupidest post I’ve seen in a while

@chrishaughton_1963

I haven’t watched this but am reluctant to waste my time. In at least three very important respects the Obama and Trump administrations are diametrically opposed: geo-political ME strategy for containment of Iran, illegal immigration and DEI.

Are you reťárded?

Nonsense. Your desire to be 'controversial' is flagrant and off-putting.

Dear unherd, have you ever considered you are part of the problem?

The jews are in charge. As always. That battle was lost in Europe.

@wiscowoody2716

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen! If there are similarities, it's only because of the liberal obstruction blocking real change and reform. We voted for change! Dems are blocking it.

@psymantronic1528

The proxy war against Russia in Ukraine is a good example. Trump flip flops his rhetoric praising condemning Putin and Zelensky but still the war continues, the American weapons keep flowing the inteligence is still provided and the sanctions continue. The only difference with Trump is that he's getting Europe to pay for it.
