👀 I’m curious — what job are you currently in that you’re hoping to pivot from into tech (or data)?

✨ I’m working on something that’ll show you exactly how to connect your current role to data — no matter your background!

👇🏽 Pick the one that fits you best (or drop yours in the comments if it’s not listed!)

💡 If your role isn’t listed (like Education, Admin, or something unique 👀), drop it in the comments! I might feature it in my new demo that helps you see how your job already uses dat

I moved from a Business Analyst role with one company (where I never used SQL) into a permanent BID role (where I'm required to complete report request using SQL all day). How? 1) I bought a $20 Udemy SQL course 2) I completed a couple SQL courses on YouTube 3) When I was that role as a vendor, I asked my manager if I can sit with someone on the Data team & start helping with SQL reporting . 4) I found this channel and it's one of the ones that keeps me motivated...I then updated my resume with each new skill that I used while helping with reporting. 5) I then got laid off after 5yrs😢 6) I prayed every and all day fora specific job and specific manager. 7) I posted my resume any & everywhere and updated my LinkedIn 8) A company from my local unemployment database found my resume & hired me 9) I still work on my SQL skills everyday to stay updated after work for an hour and I'm also taking Epic certification training. This channel helped me prioritize my life, decline hanging out with friends, get & stay dedicated to reach my SQL goals ...I truly believe prayer is what got me noticed but I worked out in the work to give Him something to bless 🤷🏽

I’m coming from being a hairstylist for the past 13 years. No degree but I’ve had my own business for 5years. So some transferable skills.

Healthcare (Medical coding auditor specializing in risk adjustment). I audit coders' ICD-10-CM codes and report coding error trends to vendors to educate coders and ensure accurate risk adjustment factor scores, which are used to predict healthcare costs for patients.
