Dear Algibra, Please stop asking us to find your x, and please do not ask y. -Sincerely, every student ever

Unfortunately it's useful. It means that you only need to solve a problem once, and all the other times the computer can do it for you.

It may be cause I'm weird as hell, but when I understood the equation, it was kinda fun. But i rarely understood em in the first place

Math had numbers, signs and everything nice then mathematicians added letters and migraines were born.

As sad at it is. Those alphabets are one of the reasons why you are even able to make this take.

Imo the alphabet isn't the problem the problem is when we started to add Greek letters and turn the alphabet upside down or rotated letters and if you don't believe me look up Math Symbols Wikipedia and you know what I mean

To be fair, it makes sense to have letters. It shows a quantity or several quantities of something without being confused with several numbers. For example, y=mx+b, is slope formula, but we do know that each of these letters can have a quantity. And with algebra we can see something similar. The X or any other letter stands in for a different number. When you get your answer you can plug that number in and it should make sense. Sometimes they donât make sense though and thus we have no solution and infinite solution as answers.

Rly donât get the hate for algebra. Taught it to myself and itâs such a simple concept to understand⌠The inventor for Calculus on the other hand has a special place in my Death Note

Okay I get the joke but as someone studying physics at university I unironically love using letters and hate using numbers. I will do everything with the letters I possibly can before adding in the numbers for the final calculation. I donât care if I have to split up the calculation at the end because it doesnât fit on my calculator, letters are way easier to work with Numbers just make everything more complicated and make it easier to make a mistake. Using letters I canât forget what each number means if there are none, I just have to know what the letters represent conventionally. Letters are easier to see where things cancel. Formulas donât usually care what specific numbers you put in, when you learn to rearrange the letters in a specific way once itâs easier to remember later on and you know how theyâre supposed to look. With numbers you have to do all of the thinking every time In conclusion maths was ruined when people started putting numbers into it

I once groaned loudly in 5th grade when my teacher showed us this stuff. Most of the kids groaned with me.

Fun fact: the word âAlgebraâ comes from the Arabic âAl-Jabrâ meaning âthe reunion of broken partsâ.

Boohoo algebra is so hard!! It's not that bad guys

Algebra is merely a way to represent unknown or variable values, and unfortunately this garners pure hatred from all
