I play both- here’s MY experience and some thing’s I’ve noticed (so this will not apply to everyone) Piano: playing for 9 years- - Slower progress - Needs more practice than consistency - Less painful - Theory is somewhat easier? Guitar: Playing for 1-2 years- - Much faster progress - Needs more practice than consistency - PAINFUL - Theory is harder (technically the same, but tabs to scores and ykwim). Anyways- about Guitar or Piano, I’d pick both. I love all my instruments :3

Piano because Synthesizers can make any sound while being played like a piano. I am talking about FM synthesis and Romplers

I'm a guitarist so I'm going with guitar, it might be painful but once you get the hang of it, it's easy

If you learn how to play piano, it's a lot easier to learn many other instruments. Granted, it's still hard, but a lot easier nonetheless.
