Want a heart as reliable as Tony Stark's arc reactor? ⚡ Which of these structures is responsible for initiating the electrical signals that make your heart beat, keeping it in rhythm like a finely tuned machine?

Here's a clue: It's not just about powering a suit! 🤖❤️ #HeartHealth #Cardiology #HeartAnatomy #Pacemaker #SA Node #AV Node #HeartValves #CardiacMuscle #IronMan #Marvel

@GreedyOrange

You basically gave it away by calling it a natural pacemaker tbh :P

Would love to understand more on how a pacemaker overrides the "natural" response of the heart as both my dad and grandmother had one. The doctor said i may need one in the future but didn't go into detail as we ran out of time; i was in ER for another condition and they were monitoring my heart

The signal can come from the ventricles, but you’re usually in trouble at that point.

C is the good answer with a rythm between 60-100 bpm.If it does'nt work for some reason the node AV gonna take de lead with a rythm around 40-60 bpm and if also it decide to not working the ventricule gonna take de lead but with only a cardiac rate to 20-40bpm...

I thought Tony's arc reactor powered a magnet that prevented shrapnel from migrating into his heart. I dunno...😂

I have a really unusual arrhythmia with an accessory pathway that looks neither like AVNRT nor WPW. I've been though three ablations during the last year. If you were to dissect my heart, would you be able see the accessory pathway and the ablation scarring?

Automaticity and distinct from pulse. Merely electrical...
