Where's the "I didn't really feel like watching it" option?

This needed a "didn't give give a fuck about" option.

Didn't watch, listened to plot synopsis, won't give it more time. I have legends to re-read through.

I loved it, it made the best fodder for hundreds of different content creators.

Honestly I watched it 2 times and it just pissed me off more. Not just because the world building and intelligence of several characters is assassinated. Not because of the vergence. I can actually understand if Anakin wasn't the only force based birth considering Plagueis surely had experiments on the Midiclorians and creating life as soon as he was able to learn he was capable of it. In the Plagueis novel he actually seems like a decent man despite the amount of blood on his hands. He wants to live forever, now granted that is twisting the force in an evil way. However, from his point of view that's obviously a way for him to live forever. Hell in the Plagueis book Palpatine is horrified by the prospect that his master would break the Baanite line, and for good reason, the Baanite line requires the apprentice eventually overpowering the master. However, the story doesn't give us any of that potential realized. with the few pieces that we are given we have several problematic possibilities 1 Qimir is Plagueis' apprentice and now that he's broken the rule of two Plagueis has to kill him. Qimir fucked up the entire grand plan. 2. Plagueis and the coven Mothers (don't even care enough to look up the names) possibly met up as a team and they used Plagueis and the human mother got the zabrak mother pregnant through creating a vergence in the force. That's extremely dangerous considering the Jedi conveniently 8 years later would be searching for a vergence on Brendok. Which I call bullshit because atleast one of said Jedi, Torbin protested even being in said assignment and just wanted to go home. As a result Torbin rushes in because none of the Jedi decided it was important enough to explain why they were taking their sweet ass time to a teenager, who is obviously going to be reckless. As a result, for his 'sin' he's mind raped and victim blamed so hard that when he lets down the one shield he had to never be touched like that again, he kills himself for the very person who victim blamed him. Here's the point of that tho. Why would you send a Padawan to this situation, when you know explicitly that he's not trained or informed on what's going on for several god-damn weeks. So basically a Padawan was mind raped because their master didn't teach them how to telepathically defend themselves, or hell even train him to focus more on the force considering the whole mission is about a vergence in the force. So great job Indara you're dead, your Padawan is dead, and it's all because you wouldn't teach a Jedi padawan one of the most basic force defenses. Also, just to add one more point Indara never even cared that Torbin was mind raped. I have so much more to go over but yea this show pissed me the fuck off

It sounds like a lot of people who disliked the show haven't even seen it

I was too busy watching a supercut of all of the Jar Jar scenes from the prequels. It seemed more appealing.

90% of the people that "hated it" probably didn't watch it and only saw people complain about it. It's actually a solid show with some of the best lightsaber work they've ever done

I watched more YouTube reviews on the Acolyte than watching the actual show... It says a lot, LM.

Lightsaber choreography was the best thing about the show. I liked content from the comics like Cortosis being used but that was all. The writing wasn’t very good and the dialogue was worse than the prequels and A New Hope. Feel like the show would’ve been a lot better as a revenge story following Qimir as he goes on a revenge quest to kill the Jedi after his master betrayed him. It could still be the same Jedi from the show but they could’ve been involved in covering up his “death” instead of having to deal with the twins and “power of manyyyy” tribe instead.

In all honesty though Disney has just been ruining the Star Wars franchise for years now it's to the point a lot of fans won't even take Disney as official lore because of how bad they screw things up and contradict themselves

I watch things that interest me. I didn’t even know about the acolyte until the drama started on release.

The plot is no better and no worse than stuff like Ahsoka or The Book of Boba, but the action is truly amazing. Possibly the best ever in SW.

Tbh it wasn't that bad, I liked the action scenes, such as the lightsaber fights. The visual style was really nice, the spaceships and technology fit in the show's timeframe. That being said the writing was questionable at times, some scenes were strange and iirc every episode ended up in a cliffhanger, which I personally didn't enjoy. I feel like they started multiple stories/plots in these movies and they left most of them unfinished. The ending was meh. Strange series, I'd give it 6/10.
