I'm sure many of you may be wondering if I'm playing "The Hundred Line", so here's your answer: Yes! I just started playing it, and have gotten through what was contained in the demo. Given its sheer length and volume of content, I expect it to be something I chip away at playing in the background for...a while, but since it's a Kodaka venture (even if not solely), I figured I'd give you guys some of my thoughts here after my first play session. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS BELOW.

First, a point of clarity: No, I'm not going to be streaming this game, for a few reasons. Given that it's such a huge time investment, it would take me a LONG while to get through, and honestly I'd like to take it at my own pace, completely on my own with no outside perspectives to really color my own. I also just already have a lot of ongoing stream commitments to get to anyway.

Now, here's the bullet points of my current opinions, having finished Day 7:
- The character designs are very hit or miss for me. There's some fun ones here and there, and in a vacuum I don't think very many look actively bad, but as a lineup I feel like they gel kind of oddly.
- Similarly, I'm really not sold on the look of the invaders right now. They feel very much like mobile game enemy fodder.
- The character writing itself varies. Characters like Ima and Kako make me grimace, but everyone else is at least tolerable, if not pretty good. Sirei is actually quite a bit of fun, and I quite like Eito, Takemaru, and Hiruko. Takumi is a fine MC.
- Darumi I'm pretty firmly split down the middle on. I find her design pretty ugly (sorry), and half of her lines make me sigh, but at the same time she's clearly the "taking the piss about Danganronpa" character, which does get some laughs out of me at times. I'm intrigued by what potential depths she may have behind this gimmick, and as with a lot of Kodaka's characters, I expect their gimmicks to give way to more interesting aspects over time.
- The music is absolutely fantastic, my goat Masafumi Takada knocks it out of the park again. There are a lot of "not Danganronpa" tracks in this, but tbh I quite like all of them. Sirei's theme is groovy as hell, and the Not "Trial Underground" track is also pretty great.
- The battle system is alright. I'm not a big SRPG gal, so I probably wouldn't be the best judge on this, but I can see how the systems are both easy to understand, while having a lot of potential for depth. I just wish the maps were more interesting/less homogenous.
- Quite a few good plot hooks have been seeded here, and like DR, offers a lot of good mysteries relating to the setting itself...which I have to imagine won't exactly fall headfirst into familiar DR twist territory, because how many times can we really lampshade that?

So, yeah, interested to play more. Maybe, just maybe, if I ever finish it, I'll talk about it at more length in the future.
