I’ll always remember watching him in the HBO 24/7 series leading up to his big fights in the States. He had such a great personality and was truly the people’s champion. In his prime Ricky was one of the most underrated pressure fighters and body punchers around. The night he made Kostya Tszyu quit remains one of the greatest performances by a British fighter.
Nothing but total respect for him. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
