You guys have truly done something amazing with this one. It is just such a phenomenally novel sound, and so deep on each new listen. Sam and Dale are at full force with a ridiculous mix of the heaviest riffs you've ever heard, and ever driving and surprising timbral and harmonic choices, and Josh's Drumming is as punchy full of contrast as ever. Jim's vocal and lyrical work is just something else, it's like you reached back into your entire repertoire, way back to Moments and The Tide, and even a lot from Known/Learned. The lyrics are just so raw with emotion, and it's hard to tell where your characterisation of the speaker ends and your own authentic pain begins. I especially love the spoken word effects all through Charcoal Grace, how in the opening of Mute the storm of the pandemic cuts off Jim before he can finish...I can't keep mentioning sections of the album, I'd do so forever. It's a privilege to get to experience this.

I've listened to the entire album a few times over on Spotify now, and I have to say, it is probably my favourite album ever (and that isn't even with recency bias). Thank you guys for creating something that gives me lots of joy and even slightly inspires me with my own music ventures :) Also the end of mute referencing the world breathes with me is genius, favourite song of the album for sure.

Amazing album! I read the lyrics as I listened. I'm a very emotional person and let me say that these lyrics moved me to tears and brought some feelings out that I suppressed, I guess. I sat in silence for a few minutes after the music stopped. Congratulations on making this 👏 can't wait to see you guys live in LA

Love the overall dark vibe this record has. It's so heavy. Not just in the riffs but the lyrics too. Jim and Sam are at their prime on this record. Both of them deliver the heaviest and hardest hitting compositions I've heard from CH. The title suite is my favorite after a few listens. Mute is good and has some of my favorite performances from Jim but the riffs and solos in the title suite hit all the right spots at just the right time. Prey is fantastic and has my favorite riff on the entire album on it around the 4:20 mark (heh nice). Then it just takes off after that. Love it all. Hell is yoooooooooooou!
