Which of these effects do you use the most and why?

@Brandon_Hardie

Reminder that overfilled hearts was so good in botw that in totk they needed to move hearty truffles underground, hearty radishes to sky islands, and remove hearty durians ENTIRELY. I love attack up, but the full recovery and extra hearts that the effect gives shouldnt be understated.

My cannon is hearty durians aren’t in the game because Link ate them into extinction. Needless to say, overfilled hearts are my go to.

Technically I use attack up the most because I'm almost always in full barbarian armor, but I almost exclusively cook foods with bonus hearts for that instant max health. Helps to find a hearty radish and drop it off in Hateno to grow more

@CatSurfer

Overfilled hearts is really good. Refills your full hp + some temporary hearts

For food it’s definitely overfilled hearts for the full recovery, but in general I definitely use attack up the most because I wear attack up armor whenever I can, so I have the effect active most of the time

@DSmittie

Attack up is the easiest way to “increase durability” since you increase your dps without any drawbacks, plus attack up is easy to get since you can just rush the barbarian or phantom sets at the start of the game

@McMuffins42

Attack up by armor but overfilled stamina by elixer. My main set has barbarian legs, but I always have full stamina

@SkyBlueFox1

To be honest, I tend to prefer the extra Stamina. Health is great and all, but at 38 hearts, I use hearty food more for healing purposes than for the added health. Stamina, on the other hand, is always helpful even when your default wheels are maxed out.

Having a plus-damage armor set makes it easy to not think about buffing before or during a fight, something I always forget about. But stamina overfill elixirs and food is incredibly busted for just doing things you have no business doing. I try to keep like eight of them on me if possible, just so I never run into a problem I can't brute force.

A combination of over-filled stamina and over-filled hearts is my #1 most used effect. I don't actively search for anything that can give the effect. I just sleep in a lot of inns/stables and have a fat sack of ruppees that get used on the special beds.

I'm in my Fierce Deity set unless I have a very good reason not to be. I also regularly eat defense up food when boss hunting. Overfilled hearts are much less strong in TOTK - not only are they much more rare, they don't help with gloom.

The overfilled hearts is an absolute godsend in the early game.

@ericolens3

trick question i use BOTH hearts AND stamina. i racked up lots of pony points by sleeping at the stables, and early game the stamina boost was helpful. the hearts didnt hurt either but it was mostly for the stamina. ironically i dont even fight cuz i use Majoras mask and puffshrooms so that my hearts are really useful during lynel fights otherwise 99.99999 of the game my hearts function more like trophy pieces. gleeoks are EASY yet thick skinned, they break my weapons, bows, and eat through my eyeballs but are great for farming. so attack up is useful for them.

For me, it’s actually two choices. “Attack Up” because I constantly have the Fierce Diety set equipped. I don’t even care about the attack buff because the armor set looks so good, so I’d be happy even if the set was purely cosmetic only. Of the buffs in this poll, I use overfilled hearts most because I like feeling semi-immortal. All that being said, the buff I do actually constantly eat food for is Speed Up which isn’t listed here. There’s an argument to be made that foot speed is unnecessary due to Zonai device creations, but I gotta go fast, especially in combat. EDIT: Damned auto-correct. Typed this up on my phone.

They all amazing.. besides defense

@Rohrak

Attack up, especially by armor set, like Fierce deity set. Attack up is also weapon durability saving because more attack is less hits to kill an ennemy and less durability used per kill

Attack up! Barbarian set all the time! If it's too warm or cold for the barbarian then i have a truck load of bananas. :D

@Mystagogue740

I like to keep my hearts at 3. I rely on one hit kill protection and that way, there's better resource management because you don't need as much food to completely heal.

@Ninjaananas

Attack Up because: -You get it easily with armor. -Many bananas. -Enemies die faster. -This also makes fights more fun. -You safe on weapon durability since you need less hits. -It also works on bows. A 5-shot savage lynel bow can annihilate a silver lynel.
