LowSpecGamer

THANK YOU for your tremendously supportive comments on this new series everyone. Your feedback is giving me the energy to keep trying to make better and better videos.

Given that this series was born of my attempts to explore how in the history of video games accessible hardware, lower cost and clever design are more important than expensive powerful hardware, someone in discord proposed the name "LowSpecLore". It is growing on me, so I will probably start incorporation it in future videos.

Remember that this series is possible thanks to Nebula and extra companion videos I am posting there: nebula.app/videos/lowspecgamer-the-very-weird-stor…

Some people have commented that they would like to see the extra content through Patreon, so if you want to support LowSpecLore directly and get the extra videos I will post it there as well: www.patreon.com/lowspecgamer

Next on LowSpecLore is the Game Boy Color, Famicom and ZX Spectrum.

Next on regular LowSpecHardware I will be exploring the smallest low spec handheld in the word, as well as the Steam Deck when I finally get mine.

My comment isn't related to the video, but it would be fun watching LowSpecGamer's head explode when somebody tells him a 6 core 12 thread desktop CPU is considered low-spec, and that an 8 core CPU will be considered low-spec in a few years

As an owner of the original game boy black and white, in the clear case, complete in box, I'm always interested in videos like these that goes through some of the other tech that I wasn't able to have back in the day. In fact this video kind of gave me the itch to dig out that old game boy, and it still works. Can't believe it.

@maclura

did you really have to hide your old videos? it's nice you put them in a playlist but now people looking up performance guides in youtube search's won't see any of them and alot of the games you covered don't have guides like that.. maybe you could make an archive channel? btw I do like your new content always fun seeing tech history, but your kinda stranding people on low spec devices since they can't see your guides easily.

Is the Curiosity Stream deal expired? Unfortunately, after clicking the link, the deals that come up don't line up with what you said.

I don't like a paywall policy about content. Okay maybe some kind of live/behind the scenes/streams/QnA and something like that is ok, but is locking out content that you put big amount of effort in making as extra about gameboy in payment service concerns me.
