It depends on the type of stories you're reading if you're reading for historical reference then yes you're going to hear words that we no longer use in our vernacular. Also if you're reading about war in general. You're going to hear swear words! It depends on the type of story whether it has historical reference or not or if it's pertaining about battle or War! Listen I read a story it was called blood on the risers it was written by the Marine long-range reconnaissance sniper who was part of the Lrp's or Long range reconnaissance! It was very descriptive and it had a lot of descriptive cursing in it because he was going 30 miles behind enemy lines to take out high-ranking officials of the VC or Vietcong! Let's just say it was one of those White knuckle stories and it was very heartwarming and gripping at the same time!

I don't like cuss words like gd (goddamn), that is when I close that one and go to another. Mode of the time I mark it and not listen to it again.
