I don't think anyone realizes how impossible it would be to rig a whole sports league for any amount of time

The fact that so many people voted yes is truly astonishing

I know the players and coaches don't rig it, but the officials I think definitely sway games towards a team

It’s not rigged, but the officiating is so unbelievably inconsistent and trash that it seems to favor certain teams game-to-game or even play-to-play

i don’t think they determine who wins a game but i think the nfl does favor teams heavily with the refs. doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll change the outcome of the game

I don't flat out think it's rigged, but there's is defo some shady shit happening in games these days and the refs need to be held accountable for their mistakes

i don’t think it’s rigged for set winners but they do want it to be exciting

i think that it is impossible to completely change a game just based on officiating without being blatant but ofc every game if you really want to you could always find one or two calls that were maybe inconsistent

I wouldn’t say in favor of any team, but they try to extend games and create scenarios for increased revenue and publicity… maybe they work w/sports betting companies too… like 75% of bets were on the bengals and they got screwed by the refs late… just sayin

I think that while the whole system might not be rigged I think that individual people who prefer one team to another contribute to the idea that the whole nfl is rigged. The nfl will make money no matter what and so I think that they allow games to be rigged by not punishing things that skew the game for one team over another. When you look at the bengals chiefs game, you see the ref wait until the play is over to say that the play was bad and I think that allowing that to happen is why people think the nfl is rigged. Same thing with what Joey bosa said about the red trying to screw him over. By allowing the refs to continue to make bad calls and display favoritism it makes the whole nfl seem rigged.

It’s possible refs could be swayed one way or another by any number of influences, but it would be pretty much impossible for the whole league to be rigged/scripted.

I made another comment a bit ago, but I had another thought. Everytime i see a big play in a big game, the responsive effort is laughably terrible Jamaar Chase caught a 75 yarder in the super bowl last year. Not only was it a blown OPI, but it was on Ramsey. The effort Ramsey put into it was adorable. Kittle making 50 yard snag before halftime in the super bowl, ref calls OPI and it was a tragedy. Somebody gets into the war of Olineman and say, let up just a little bit... we want Aaron Donald to be the one to close this game out

The saying three people can keep a secret if two are dead exist for a reason. To believe that an organization that's made up of thousands of players and thousands of staff members could keep a secret like that is astronomically absurd

The re do of a third down was a good call because 2nd down was a incomplete pass which stopped the clock but the other ref started the clock before the snap like it was a completed pass so one of the other refs tried calling the play dead

The players are obviously not involved, but the refs probably are. I understand "refs are human too" and "they make mistakes", but some of the calls are absolutely ridiculous. It's crazy to me how some of these guys are still allowed to ref games.
