As a transformers fan, I mostly feel like the series needs to stop over-relying on nostalgia and reinvent itself. Beast Wars and, even though I hate them, the first couple Bay films are prime examples of this mentality being what the franchise needs.

My concern about Bay coming back is that it might take away focus from continuing Transformers One. I thought that film was great and needed a sequel, but there’s been no mention of one

Even though I enjoyed several of Bay's Films (including the First and Third Transformers Films), I can't say I'm too thrilled at this News. But if he was announced as the Director for that Transformers/G.I. Joe Crossover, maybe I would be interested.

All I want from a transformer film is big robots fighting each other. And Bay can deliver that. I don’t want robot emotional therapy sessions.

Bay has a good eye for action and CGI and visual FX but he lacks in story telling. There is nothing wrong with senseless action as long as it's not costing me the price of a movie ticket. For that I need a good reason for the bots to want to fight. Some emotional baggage to duke it out over. Bay has trouble delivering a good story. Almost like he is burnt out on transformers. So not a good thing if he's back as director.

The Results of the poll were INSANE - I did not expect so many people to want Bay to come back!
So we discussed it on the Pod here: https://youtu.be/nawbxgI3JX4
Why do you guys think this is?
