Steve Parker Audiobooks

Our third BANNED BOOK WEEK book: Animal Farm was banned primarily because of its direct allegorical critique of communism and totalitarian regimes, particularly the Soviet Union, leading to its prohibition in countries like the USSR and Cuba. However, it also faced bans for other, less common reasons, such as temporary censorship in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to its depiction of talking pigs being against Islamic values.
China also banned the English version of the book for being critical of its communist system, though the Chinese translation was censored instead.
