That's a really tough choice, but because of the epic scale, I gotta go with Ben-Hur.

As a kid I learned about Casablanca through the Woody Allen movie. In the movie, he is obsessed with "Casablanca" and particularly with Bogart's character Rick Blaine, whose ghost appears to give him romantic advice.

Casablanca is a great movie. But realistically the choice should be Ben Hur the epic scale of the film set a high bar for the studios. Without Ben Hur, does a movie like Cleopatra even happen?

Ben Hur's chariot race scene is arguably the best 13 minutes of action ever recorded on film.

My heart said Casablanca, but my mind said Ben Hur. Then again, how can anyone reasonably choose between these two great films?

They are both great films but Ben Hur is IMHO by far the superior film, it has more watchability for me, the acting is top class from everyone and it is one of my favourite films of all time, so I am biased lol

I went with Ben Hur tonight, though tomorrow I probably will feel differently, though the Bogart movie I loved was . THE AFRICAN QUEEN.

In Casablanca, when Sam tells Elisa to leave Rick alone because she's "bad luck to him," there is a flash of hurt and vulnerability that comes across Bergman's face for a split second that is just heartbreaking. She quickly puts her smile back up, but when you see it, you'll never forget it.

Casablanca is one of the greatest movies ever made and I will brook no argument on the matter! Easily in my all time top five, watched it so many times I know half the dialogue before it is spoken...
