Hi guys, I want to address some things about my recent video again in hopes of remedying some of this situation. If you were not aware already: The story of the Consciousness channel is FICTIONAL and all of the characters inside of it are completely made up. It is very important to me that you all know that no one is actually in danger, it was simply meant to be a unique take on the ARG concept using YouTube live streams as the medium. I made two mistakes with this video, the first was not having any third party watch my video for feedback prior to posting. When I posted the video I genuinely was worried people would find it cringy at times or a bit hard to believe that a child would somehow have access to a streaming software. Since I create all of the story and background myself I forget how it can look from a third party perspective who has no knowledge of the story. My second mistake was not including a disclaimer inside the video itself, and while I do not plan on touching on such real-world issues as strongly in the future I will be making sure to include disclaimers in all of my videos going forward. This was my first video going full-on into the world of unfiction and my first to have so much success and attention on it. While I am so grateful for the success and the positive comments under that video, I now am responsible for a lot more people who watch my videos and the feelings/actions that the video may incite. Once again thank you all for your support and I hope to do better both in the quality of my content as well as the safety of it in the videos to come.

This is the best arg on the site. Don't get disheartened, man!! You got real talent and you should be able to tell the stories you wanna tell

As someone who literally teared up watching the video, when I found out it wasn't really I was relieved and not resentful. It was super good and creative. Well done.

As someone who is very familiar with args i definitely think a disclaimer at the beginning is a good move, idk about the need for a third party but sometimes args can hit a little too close to home, definitely disclaimer that it's just an arg and if it contains anything bad and you'd be fine, it's what most channels do now

I do really have to say it is very well made video and one of the best ARG vids I have ever seen but I did get really emotional during the video I was wondering at the start bc of the Minecraft version but that the story got so good that I was fully in it and just thought WTF I almost cried TBH it was it look ver real apart form the Minecraft version really probs out to u u are very Talenten keep up the good work but really add disclaimers to the video it os the best for all of us aseptically the once that don't read the disciption

I think a disclaimer in the ending could be good enough, maybe for the continuation ones a disclaimer in the beginning would be good, personally it kinda breaks the experience but still, that was so heartbreaking 💔 I honestly felt so bad for that kid and until the end I was here trying to detective myself to the work, me literally researching about it (which is crazy) but it was a 10/1

I cant lie i was watching it on my xbox so i couldnt see the comments. I was so into it and genuinely thought you solved a crime. Yeah i was skeptical but i chose to keep watching. I think you are doing an amazing job at achieving your dream cause you’ve had me hooked from the kid one.

@Nightmarish_

If it calms you down, you didn't make me believe it was real (no child would play an the old MC versions like that). It was edited like videos you see on the RetroGamingNow channel and stuff, so I knew it was an ARG. It was still a good video tho! It made me question at times how you did some of the things you did in the video. So good job! I hope you make more stuff like this or Spctr!

Wow good video

I definitely think it would’ve been better with a clearer method of showing it was just a fictional ARG. Bc like I said it seemed so realistic that I had to double check the caption and details to see if it was fake or not by the end. I could honestly see someone unfamiliar with your channel (that aren’t aware that you do ARGs) think this is like more serious and realer than it is

congrats on finding your niche! As a writer of a different variety it's awesome to find someone who's become successful, might I ask what are some of your inspirations?

@IcarusOnTap

That video was awesome and really well made, have you ever seen the YouTuber Zeemyth? He does very similar videos but uses his entire channel as the medium for his ARG storytelling. It’s fascinating. Excited to see more content from ur channel now as well😁
