I voted yes, but the only reasonable answer to this is fair level headed criticism and returning to quickplay.

Discourse and clarification favour communication, you did a good thing by sharing your thoughts publicly. I am saying this in the position of someone who did not agree with you, and shared 2 responses about why i don't think your hypothesis holds true. That's the nature of having a conversation, and i don't see why you should stop because of fear of a vocal minority of just mean people. I am interested in what you have to say. I also dunno what do you mean by "it can hurt you" by sharing your genuine thoughts. In my opinion, it's worse to pretend everything is fine and shut up about it. I prefer listening to someone who is genuine and forthcoming, Because it allows confrontation :) And confrontation (with respect and listening) brings personal growth.

The video was plain and simple came from a good place but I do wish you went into more detail on what you TRULY wanted to see from the community. I was kinda confused on some parts.

Honestly when it comes to TF2 discourse, you’d probably be better off just popping your head in and out and try not staying for too long. The message you were spreading in the video was completely fine. “Hey I feel valve employees probably feel cautious or even scared to work on it again due to negative experiences over the years.” That was a similar theme that Lister was relaying in their Meet your Match video where they tried to make a seamless bridge to trying competitive TF2. (Which backfired). And then you had the dumbass TF2 Connect stunt with Jill where someone used the Ring to make a message saying Jill ruined TF2. However most won’t see it that way. I’ve already seen people in the comments calling back on the same tired reductionists tropes in the comments going “why are you depending a billion dollar company” or some outright just discrediting valve entirely. I think the least destructive course of action would be a pinned comment on the video with an explanation. Some will probably just ignore it anyway but making an entire video would essentially just double dip on any bad faith reception you’d receive. Though I’m viewing this from a very pessimistic lens.

You shouldn't have touched TF2 drama in the first place as its likely the people you get involved with are gonna get cancelled in one way or another since most TF2 oriented content creators have skeletons or kids in the basement.

1. Analyze the current problem and find a solution 2. Make a helpful opinion to help improve the game. 3. Get hacked and threatened by the ones who started it 4. Never again

DOnt do it, if you make a follow up then you dont stand up to your own opinion, maybe just delete the video and make a new one.

This is such a bad idea it’s not even funny you’re appealing to a crowd that doesn’t even play tf2 Edit: like I cannot describe to you how bad of an idea this is to anyone who plays tf2 with a shred of seriousness like this just seems so out of touch with actual tf2 players and the wider gaming community
