In response to my last video "Is Reality Really Real?", one viewer drew my attention to a really fascinating interview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd6CQ.... Not only does it make a similar case to my one, it also uses similar examples - eg he talks of a "Graphical User Interface" where I suggest "Sensory User Interface", and the perceptions of a cat and the pressures of evolution. Where we differ is that he sees this as a route by which science might extend towards the spiritual, whereas I am more interested in the idea that science is just one of several alternative ways to address reality. Also interesting is the interviewer's observations about how vehemently some people oppose this VR approach. I have simplpy been censored, while it seems that Prof Hoffman has actually made people angry. Perhaps it is because I emphasised the fun of the quest, rather than a search for truth?
