I don't think he gave good examples when he explained that movement was "too good" in tag 2. Hellsweep and electric can have different speed depending on the input and you can see he barely moved when blocking df2 in the higher frames disadvantages. Tekken 7 is to much of an overkill, to many homing quick pokes like king df2, or raven db2. Im really looking forward tk8 improve sidesteps

i love movement but he made so many good points!they buffed the sidesteps again in tk8 but i dont think that statement will apply to tk8 cuz attacks still has huge hitboxs

I dont agree with his point at all. But you want to fix that “problem?” You don’t nerf the movement, you buff the hit boxes on SOME attacks. Not making them homing, just track better in certain directions. So if you read the step direction, you stop them. Increase the time that it takes to sidestep into a block by a few frames. So if you sidestep you have to completely commit to that action and still have a chance to get clipped by a quick move that tracks in your chosen step direction. Not only was movement nerfed but moves that are safe, mid, fast and homing were added to the game. Especially with the newer cast members. He also brought up the point that Soul Caliber entered the dark ages due to a big nerf in it’s movement game. I wonder why. People playing a 3D fighting game maybe want to be able to move well in all dimensions of that fighting game. Movement is generally only an issue to those who havent mastered it. Or at the very least, never took time to at least learn proper implementation of it. Those are the people that like doing “atteck” in the word of TMM. Their playstyle caters to destroying their opponent with frame traps and flow charts. But that was hard to do in TTT2 because you could just move out of those options. That’s why those types of players were concentrated in the yellow, orange and red rank and top players were movement gods. In my opinion, that’s why even at the end of it’s lifespan.. Hitting True Tekken God on TTT2 was far more impressive than on T7.

As immaculate as ever? Are we going to forget his Akuma video?

Slight more movement than tekken 7. Like 5/7%. I don't want to get stuck in the ground at all.

That Blasted Salami
You think you want Tag 2 movement, but you really don't. Check out Rubbish's incredible new video on Tekken Tag 2. As immaculately produced and thoughtfully written as ever.
