I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but somewhere along the way, I think as a society, we’ve fallen far from God. America loves the idea of God, but not the discipline that comes with truly knowing Him. We like comfort, but not conviction. We like blessings, but not obedience.
It’s as if Jesus and His disciples left us this world to tend & the generations after rewrote the message to fit their own design. We were meant to walk in love and truth, but the path has grown crowded with ego, greed & distraction.
We trust in God on our money, but live as if money itself is our god. We call it progress, but what if progress without purpose is just a slower walk away from Heaven?
Everywhere, people say they’re searching for meaning, but meaning was never lost. It was simply replaced. Replaced by distractions, by sin, by a world that teaches us to serve everything, except the One who made us. God, who gave us breath, has become an afterthought in the world He, spoke into existence.
However, it’s not too late. We can still turn back. We can still silence the noise, humble ourselves & seek Him again. We can still find our way home. No matter how far we’ve wandered, we are still His children...
And our Father, merciful, patient & loving beyond measure is still waiting at the gates, ready to welcome us back into His grace.
