Have you had issues with the YouTube app where you can't comment on Shorts because the text input box is missing?

For whatever reason, it is placed behind your phone's navigation bar. If you go to "Display > Navigation bar" in your Android settings (or your device's equivalent) and change the Navigation type from "Navigation buttons" to "Full screen gestures", the navigation bar will become transparent and you'll see that the YT Shorts comment bar is right where the navigation bar is.

There are a number of problems with this. No offense to anyone using Full screen gestures, but I prefer a button-based navigation bar that responds with a simple tap input within its own dedicated area on the screen. This is especially true on an app like YouTube that constantly pushes ads out of nowhere that respond to even the slightest misclick, more so than the actual videos posted by legitimate channels. You shouldn't need to disable your button-based navigation bar, or ANY phone settings, just to access a feature as fundamental as posting a comment.

What do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below, because at least this comment section works! Unless you have keyboard freezing issues...which will be coming in another poll!

Yes, the comment section here works. The text input box for typing a comment is at the top of the comment section, same for a normal video. Yet for Shorts, it is all the way at the bottom behind the navigation bar. Question mark in bold. WHY?!

So, I’ve never had this exact issue with youtube shorts and the comment section as you described, but I have been encountering a whole host of other graphical and UI-related issues on both PC and ESPECIALLY mobile. Either ui elements just not working, certain things like videos and comment sections not loading in

Shorts is a shitshow I've been having this issue and for a while it was doing this strange thing where it would increase my phone's brightness even with it locked in place. It would do this for one video and then go back to the brightness it was set to. Haven't seen this in a while but thought it was pretty odd that random videos could change the brightness of my device.
