SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY! I feel like summer just started yesterday. I have made me schedule and boy...is it interesting. I know I said I was working on getting a laptop to work on my YouTube/Patreon while I was teaching, but I haven't bought one yet. I guess it's time! Have I mentioned I live 30 minutes away from where I actually teach?
Here's the line-up:
BAND-MAID Sunday: The "Just Bring It" album is a great one so far. This album feels like the mark into their transition to solid hard rock. The next song we are going to listen to is "Time." Lyrics to this song are written by Miku but arranged by Hitoshi Okamoto. I am always curious what the Maids can do with other's compositional ideas, so let's goooooo!
PATREON Extras: King's X - Over My Head - I am excited to jump back into the guitar greats journey! Ty Tabor is up next in the lineup in the band King's X. I am excited to hear what Ty's got because he may not be fast'n'furious or shreddy. Apparently he loves some dissonance, and boy lemme tell ya...I'm a FAN of crunchy dissonant sounds. Dissonance used to make me uncomfortable, but your world opens once you learn to lean into that crunch.
Charles Berthoud - Elevated - I feel guilty about this one. The reason why is because I've seen many suggestions for Charles come across my regular reaction section on the Discord, but I avoided reacting because I felt like I was not in a place to react to him. I still feel like a noob when it comes to bass and since I played electric guitar for only 2 years with no proper education I feel lost in that land as well. I guess with my new adventure down the bass guitar hole, it's time to check him out. I guess this means I owe the it to all of you for a reaction on YouTube!
BAND-MAID - Kannai Devil interview 2018 & 2019! - We are continuing the Kannai Devil interviews because they are interesting to see! These are videos I've seen snippets of but haven't had a chance to actually watch, but here we are! Thanks to @Rainman on YouTube for this joy! I am combining the 2018 with Miku and Kanami with the 2019 video because it isn't long. I cannot wait!!!
ANIME Reactions: Sound! Euphonium, Season 2, Ep. 9 - I think I might stop crying at some point. This episode reminds me of my brother and I as kids.

K-ON!, Season 1, Ep. 3 - Yui...you sweet summer child. I get it though. I got distracted when I tried to study as a kid. Playing my flute was more fun than working on my math, that's for sure!
The new school year is upon me and I can only hope for good semester. I cannot wait to see what teaching, practice and competitions have in store for me and my students this year!
