Phoenix Studios

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Hey everyone! Just a quick update. I have a Writing Tips video coming out today that was meant to be released with the latest slate of uploads but the final edit was delayed due to the semester starting back up a couple of weeks ago. So I'm not "back" per se, even though I know that's what everyone will say when this video drops. So until further notice, I won't see you guys again until this semester wraps up! Hope you enjoy the video and it helps with your writing!

Good job with the four man band video. Phoenix, I was in a rough spot after watching Thunderbolts in May. I was excited to see the movie, but was disappointed after watching it. The main issues I had with the movie are: Disjointed Plot & Narrative Gaps: The film is criticized for a plot that feels rushed and fails to provide acceptable context or explanations for certain events, leaving me with unanswered questions about character motivations and past developments. Wasted Character Potential: the film squandered the potential of characters like Yelena Belova, Taskmaster, and Ghost, either through inconsistent portrayals, premature deaths, or a failure to explore their rich backstories and previous character development Bucky felt like an afterthought and Walker had a good setup in a flashback but no payoff in the end. Derivative Story & Uneven Tone: The film is often seen as unoriginal, borrowing heavily from other properties like Suicide Squad, and struggling to find a balance between its darker themes and the typical Marvel humor, leading to an uneven and sometimes unsatisfying viewing experience. Unsatisfying Ending: The ending, particularly Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's lack of consequences and the sudden introduction of the "New Avengers," left me unimpressed, the film's attempts at a more nuanced story were undermined in favor of setting up future MCU installments. I was in a depressed state, until James Gunn’s film Superman rescued me and brought me out of my depression. And after watching Fantastic Four First Steps, F1 and rewatched Sky High I was back to my normal self. It’s good to see you again Phoenix and I look forward to major videos in December. And I also have a question. Last year when announced that the rewrite for the DCEU was discontinued. On your website, in the script for the rewrite of Suicide Squad, why did you choose to kill off Katana?

Cool Hey, I've been wondering, have you ever thought about doing a rewrite of the Jurassic World Trilogy?
