Chill Dude Explains

Would you rather be able to speak to and understand all animals, OR be able to speak and understand every human language (past, present, and future)?

I feel like being able to speak to all animals would backfire real quickly

Being able to speak all human languages is just more useful

As a vet, being able to have a conversation with my patients would be the most invaluable thing to me. However, I do get the feeling that most of my feline patients would generally just tell me to fluff off.

Id be the best dang vet there ever was. Id be an animal trainer and an animal psychologist. An animal whisperer if you would

I feel like animals would only have like 3 or 4 things to say, all pretty obvious, and not particularly pleasant to hear. But deciphering Linear A and the Indus Valley script would be pretty satisfying.

I chose animals. My rationale is : there are already people all over the world who speak their own language, so collectively, humankind is covered on this front. NOBODY in the entire world can speak to animals

I hope most people realize that the majority of animals do not have enough intelligence to communicate other than basic commands and warnings

My genius partner came up with a really good observation... she said "You can already talk to all animals" If it means communicate with all animals, I choose that. Best vet in the world!

After trying to learn languages for a long time, I've realised that I don't actually want to talk to people. I would choose animals and hope I wouldn't regret it. The nice thing about animals, is that they don't judge you, in theory. They might be more judgemental than we expect?

@camronn7

The mystery of not talking to animals im pretty ok with, but speaking all languages can take you really far

I’m only in my mid thirties, and have done a fair amount of travel. Less than some but more than many, and have met many people along the way. And as sad as it is to me, I feel as though I’ve come to a point to where I’m just “re meeting” the same people. But being able to get a completely new perspective from a conversation with a mouse or even asking a buzzard how the weather has been today, that builds a sense of curiosity that has been bored for quite a long time.

So you can hear your dog say, "Why does your wife smell like your best friend?"

@JudithRiggins

I think being able to talk to and understand animals would be useful because animals can sense when something horrible is happening with the weather or seeing ghosts or strange phenomena would be life-saving, provided that we would listen and trust them.

Humans are animals so pick A and you unlock both achievements.

I think people are maybe assuming that the animals are able to have an actual conversation, but I think it would more likely be chatter about food and that sort of thing. Or maybe I’m the one who isn’t giving animals enough credit, what do you think?
