Timmy the Sorcerer

Clockwork Beast was played early on for having power greater than its converted mana cost and for the advantages of being an artifact creature.

Absolutely the reason I got Drew Tucker artwork.

Don't forget Clockwork avian. I loved Tron decks (I never called them that until I started watching this). I was the only one in my town with power cards, so I always counteract with weird shit. Tron lands, candleabra and 1/1 artifact tolken generators...lol. I remember wiping out 3 other players with Hive tokens...lol.

It’s still a great sideboard card in creature based red decks. When they side in their COP Red, you side out your Fire Elemental for Clockwork Beast!
