WHy ?

Do you guys think De Ridder can climb back up
The rankings? Or is his gas tank just not there? I personally think he was just burnt out from all the fights this year and underestimated his opponent. Before the fight he also mentioned bringing his family along this time and going to the aquarium and hockey games instead of locking in.

5 fights in a year. Un characteristic performance, enough said. Alex Pereira is probably a good example of why fighters with big weight cuts cant fight too regularly.

It depends on the state of his mental. Just like Rhonda Rousey. She could’ve 100% came back after her first loss but her mental was never the same. Same with Tank when him and Floyd fell out. He was never the same. The fight is 80% mental. He’s just as physically capable as he was before the loss but these athletes are the perfect example of “the bigger you are the harder you fall”. When you reach a certain height yes you are above everyone else but on the opposite end the fall to the bottom will be more harsh than everyone else. He can come back for sure but only if his mental is straight.

I think he could easily run through Chimaev. He deserves a title shot his next fight even if he lost

RDR JUST quit on the mat last March. People were acting like this dude was a for sure champ after beating an ancient Robert Whittaker. He has no cardio, Khamzat would have committed atrocities in that octagon on RDR.

He might be able to stay in the top 5 but he'll never be the champ with a performance like that.
