I'm new to kit drumming as I play bodhràn (Irish frame drum), but I'm very happy to have found this open, respectful, and accepting channel.

This is honestly amazing to see. I sometimes feel like the drum community can seem so insular from the outside world, but thank you for taking a stand and showing your love to all our LGBT members. You've been much more gentle with the bigots in these comments than I would ever have been. Maybe it's because many drummers are older fogeys who haven't moved on since the 80s (both musically and culturally), or maybe it's because some people just simply want to hate people. They could be the greatest drummer I've ever heard, but they're not in my fucking community. Much love lads, can't wait to see the content moving forward 🫶

Sounds Like A Drum
Many of you have noticed how the concepts and themes throughout our episodes run deep and far beyond the world of drums or even music. Ideas like maintaining an open and accepting mind are fundamental elements of Sounds Like a Drum. We believe that drums, percussion, and music as a whole are reflections of the people. They are intertwined.
We wish to remind you all of this and express our love, support, and solidarity for all of our LGBTQ+ siblings on this, the first day of Pride Month. This is a reminder of love, inclusion, and empathy. A reminder that we are ALL human beings.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
