@Alastors_biggest_fan

It’s okay Rou, I think making your characters personal to you can make them even better :) I kind of do that too with characters I make up but also in dreams I’ve noticed, it’s always said that dreams project a personal side of yourself whether blatantly obvious or not and recently I had a very personal one about my fear of losing everything that I’ve known since I was a child like my relationship with my family which was very different, all my pets that’s I’ve unfortunately lost many of and future bad events that I wish I could’ve avoided not just for myself

@SillyIzzyBella

I definitely had this experience as well with my mom. She wasn't there when I needed her and although it wasn't her fault and I'm trying to forgive her it's so hard to accept this love from her because I gone so long without it. Honestly I don't think is bad if you were projecting your own issues on Michael. Often if you write a story and part of you comes with the story. It can be something very small.

@-Blu_Jay-

Ah, Similar I have this with my father (wooo daddy issues) and I feel like we don't talk about enough how all these parents are similar and it's nice to know it's a universe feeling! Reminds me of the trends of "When you see your parent be a better parent to your sibling." Projecting is a way of coping [kinda] and it;s something that people do natuarlly and I think it's a good point in the story to bring up thoses past traumas

@water_wilson

But honestly thats what I love about your AU because everything is so relatable and can be easily understood with real emotion

@Gloomy_Moth

Somewhat have this with my dad. He used to be a mentally/emotionally abusive alcoholic. It’s been years and he’s better now but sometimes it’s hard for me to forget the past, to forget what we COULD have had. It annoys me when he tries to treat me like a little girl to make up for everything he did when I really was that age. It still hurts sometimes and that’s okay. I personally think projecting onto your characters is a good way to cope. I do it all the time. It’s also cool that so many people can relate to him and his issues because of that. It feels real and it’s easier for you to get into the mind of that character, as both the audience and creator

@Kao_raa0290

I have that but with both of my parents (except my mom actually knows it and tries to get better but I doubt my father even knows). Some of your AUs are very relatable because of it, like the emotions and reactions all feel so real and as if you thought for hours if not days on how everyone feels and reacts for each second of your vids. Anyway, it's fine if you do (or not), everyone that writes or imagines other universes and lores has definitely done it at least once, and those that haven't, they probably just haven't done/realized it yet. I'm pretty sure it can also be a coping mechanism, so like it doesn't stay all inside your head. And it's your channel and vids, do whatever you want

@IvandorXx

A bit out of topic, but it kinda feels like like how the Ao3 authors have it. But back to the topic, I hope you are ok❤❤ You have a thing when making your videos, it's like you really give life and emotions. The emotions and the time you put in your work feels kinda like something that would happen in real life (the scenarios/situations, not the Afton family part). No one is fully at fault, no one is fully correct. You portray feelings and emotions, the trauma, the reaction of the things happening. I cry when I see something sad, I feel happy for them when I see something good. You have your way of making people attached to your AU, thank you.

@SAPPHIRE_OCEAN

My mother's also like this. She always see works first rather than her family. She spent less time with us than before. But the wrose thing is she haven't changed at all after 6 years like this. I wouldn't forgive her easily for that either if she ever change but I doubt that would happen.

@haliceBloomflower

I agree with all these comments 100% since I have the same problem with my grandma since she used to have favoritism and used to not care about me and just to show no attention to me and since my parents have to work I stay with her and my two sisters she barely gives me no attention tells my mom I behaved bad if I do one little thing wrong... right now she's definitely doing better but it's still definitely hard to forgive her and I understand why Michael doesn't forgive William yet it's hard to forgive someone that has made you feel miserable when you needed at that time.🙂
