The minute we got broadband internet, YouTube was the very first site I went to. Finding long-lost commercials & Sesame Street clips from my childhood felt like the greatest gift from the gods.

Trippy seeing “20 years ago” on the video. I remember when it came out and I’ve been hooked since. Many platforms have come and gone but YouTube has pretty much maintained its status.

Random somewhat related fun fact, as far as I'm aware I watch one of the oldest YouTube channels that still uploads somewhat regularly, (there's usually a few months between uploads but that's par for the course for a lot of science channels, the channel is styropyro)

So now it's a YouTube cofounder? For years and decades it was just a random dude in the zoo. Now we found out it was a damn YouTube cofounder? How the world makes MUCH MORE sense when you got all the right info. And how everything suddenly becomes way more corrupt.

Today was the 20th anniversary of the first ever video uploaded to YouTube! It was uploaded by YouTube cofounder Jawed Karim on April 23rd, 2005. This was 19 seconds that transformed the world!
