Hello! I’m a retired US Navy officer. My wife and I greatly enjoyed a three week trip to Athens, Santorini, and Crete in September. We especially “nerded” out on the Mycenaeans, the Minoans, and Fifth Century Athens. We appreciate your videos diving into the Mycenaeans especially. We are planning to visit again next year and focus on Mycenae and Tryins. If you can, please post more videos about these two sites. Again, thank you for the thoughtful and informative videos!

Hey Andrew, just watched a few of your videos and think they are great, particularly for visitors new to the country. I am a Greek Australian (born in Greece) and have family and property (land) there, and visit often. One island you could have included in your recommendations for people looking to settle/retire is Lefkada. Yes it is relatively small in population (25K approx permanent), but is very accessible from Athens (4 hrs approx) as you can drive onto the island via a causeway/bridge, so no need for ferries, flights, etc, cutting hours of travel (similar topography to Kefalonia and not as distant as Corfu, but more accessible). Lefkada town has life year round and is very close to Preveza/Aktion airport with direct flights to much of Europe. Also has some of the best beaches in Greece, Europe, possibly the world :) For years been thinking of building a small holiday home there on my own land but have not got round to it yet. Keep up the good work and look forward to more videos! PS love Athens and will be there for a couple of days in late July. All the best.

Looking forward to seeing your new video! We are planning our trip for next year in Greece. The Mycenaean bridges at Kazarma and Petrogephyri were on the list…your video of these bridges was well done. It’s interesting how little information exists on the Mycenaean sites beyond Mycenae and Tyrins. However, the research into these sites is its own reward, isn’t it? We enjoy visiting tholos tombs and have discovered there are dozens spread right across the Peloponnese. Interestingly, one of the best preserved tholos tombs we found was a country tholos tomb near Stylos village on Crete.

Hi Andrew, It looks like this is a safe place to send you this longish message. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your work, thanks to the algorithms your channel popped up and I’ve been consuming voraciously for a few days now. It’s the perfect combination for my husband and I. We would like to combine a holiday to the UK (England and Wales for now) with Greece. We have explored the Mediterranean by ship previously and loved everything about it. We’re Canadian Anglophiles looking forward to seeing more of the UK having toured southern England most recently, including Cornwall. We want to explore Wales and Yorkshire next. Husband wants a Greek island getaway off season but your channel has opened my eyes. Your most recent video on the Peloponnese has my attention! We’ve been to Monemvasia and loved it. Your content delivery is spot on and I look forward to more travel advice over the winter as we plan for next year. We’re more inclined towards off peak travel to avoid the heat in the Mediterranean and crowds everywhere. Have travelled there both in April and late September and it was just great. Would you consider a video that compares spring travel with early fall as it relates to UK and Greece holidays? Pros and cons? We’d like a couple of weeks in each country to make the journey worthwhile. I’m especially interested in your insights for timing, spring vs fall, vs winter. I’m about to retire and it’s my celebration time! Cheers! ….from southern Ontario, where it gets very cold January to March.

Hi. Great videos, thanks and love your enthusiasm for the sites. I know Tiryns well as also stay in Mikenes, which I shall do this September. I lived in Diakofto for 8 years till just before pandemic and never had a better time in my life than living in Greece. Will look out for more videos. Terence

Hi Andrew, you said that you live in Greece, do you work there as well? I live in UK but thinking of moving to Greece. Although I have been there many times I find your videos very useful and extremely well done. Thanks!

Hello, appreciate all of the great info. If you have any knowledge of any companies or groups handling fractional ownership in Greece I would appreciate being able to speak with you. We would live something modest in the Peloponnese or Chania perhaps.

Hi Andrew, myself and my husband (he is from UK) were reading your posts on reddit and was hoping you could send me details of a Greek accountant. We have just moved here 1 month ago from UK and want to continue paying tax in uk as all our income is generated there (we are digital nomads but he is on a married visa as i originally came from Crete). Would be great if you could help as the accountant we spoke to said we would need to pay a Greek tax and get a credit for what tax we pay in UK which would be a nightmare for us. Keen to find a decent accountant who knows a way for us to continue paying in UK and tick the right boxes here! Thanks in advance, Stella.
