@4ryan42

Power user here, and I know enough to know there is a ton of stuff i don't know.

@arsenii_yavorskyi

I can find the power button, so I'm a power user, right?

@DaddyCrow

I moved to Linux so I’m back to being a noob again

@SpiritmanProductions

Been programming for 45 years and build my own PCs, but there's plenty that I don't know very well, like network stuff and game design, etc.

@Lil-San

I am not expert, but I never got virus on my computer for last 16 years. That is an achievement.

@xjet

I had an uncle that knew a guy who'd seen a picture of one once.

@tanja_the_fox

I've ascended beyond these mortal distinctions

@PaulMDove2

I have 45 years of IT experience, but the Dunning Kruger effect makes me feel like an amateur because I know how much I don't know. It's probably a decade now since I've messed around swapping things around inside a PC case, and I've forgotten so much I used to know, Unix, MSDos, etc. Before I retired watching colleagues build Rest APIs and use Azure Resource Manager made me feel like a junior again.

@PAKTC

I mean, I did reverse engineer a some properietary file formats and created a freecam hack for a PS2 game, so I have some basic skills

@DOOMSLAYER_1993

made my own os, changed one line of code and computer crashed, borked my hard drive and lost all my 100+ hand-written C programs... devastating.

@michaeldufresne9428

I put basic, but I really feel I am somewhere between that and power user

@Abhishek-hs8zi

I am expert in turning on and off the computer

@robertm9906

Definitely a power user. I don't believe in experts because no matter how good you are, you're personal experience can lead you down the wrong path because of you're ego. Sometimes someone from the outside needs to be looking in to get a fresh perspective on a resolution.

I've been in IT industry since 1976.

@xpressmoon

I guess it really depends on how you view it; I feel as if I'm more well versed in the hardware side of things vs software.

@JenRePar

Power user here. I’m a veteran IT infrastructure and security professional, but I know there’s lots of things I still don’t know as I’m regularly learning new stuff. I’ll never profess to be an expert; it implies I know everything there is to know, and I don’t need to learn anything new.

Retiree here - I've done computer maintenance, can code simple programs, and usually get myself out of trouble if I get in trouble. I would not consider myself an expert. There have been lots of developments in computer programming and user interfaces since I last did that full time.
