HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath appeared before the High Court’s division bench comprising Justices Moushumi Bhattacharya and Gadi Praveen Kumar.
During the hearing, Ranganath submitted an unconditional apology for not appearing before the court on the earlier date of 27 November. He informed the bench that he had to visit an area severely affected by heavy flooding, due to which he was unable to attend the scheduled hearing. He requested the court to accept his sincere apology.
The bench accepted his explanation and apology, asked him to take his seat, and proceeded with the hearing.
The High Court has also exempted him from appearing on the next date of hearing.
