In Naruto, if you are anyone who isn’t part of the main cast (or if you are Neji) your fate is already sealed to die a painful death. In Frieren, if you are a demon then your mental capacity is extremely limited and you will not be capable of enjoying nearly anything you do now, and of course you too will likely die a painful death. As a shadow of Jinwoo, you don’t have to worry about dying cuz you will just be revived but at the same time you will lose all free will and will live solely for his sake. In this case, I can see this a viable decision if you are down bad enough but personally I pick an NPC of Naazarick as they naturally tend to live very favorable and fulfilling lives with good food, safe protection, a solid purpose that leaves room for personal desires, other people in similar position as you to mingle with, and in general it’s very fulfilling.

Even as SL Fan, being a shadow soldier is kinda fine but sucks to be one for multiple reasons and one very important reason, being alive as NPC in nazarick is a better choice, you have a great father figure and leader, ainz, safest in the kingdom with most care, being alive and most of all the ladies👀
