If I go to the gym, it’s early morning, otherwise I fit in squats and kitchen counter press ups etc during the day. Eg, getting something from under the counter, I’ll squat rather than bend. I’ll do some press-ups or knee lifts waiting for the kettle to boil. When I get out of a chair, I make sure I don’t use my arms and I might stand and sit 3 or 4 times before I walk anywhere. It just builds in the day. I also practise pretending I’ve fallen and getting up off the floor. If you live alone, you have to plan for any event and you have to keep mobile. I had a hip replacement last year and pain-free mobility is such a gift.

Recently I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder, after 10 visits to PT I had the hydration and cortisone injection. After being so committed to my excercises and then nothing, I found myself being depressed. I took a chance looking up your site for anything that would help me find an opportunity to move the shoulder, so the hydration would not be for nothing. Thank you for the gentle excercises for this issue! I am hoping to get back to PT soon and eventually put my frozen shoulder behind me! Thanks again 😊
