I took a different approach with this one than I normally do. Instead of building the arrangement one section at a time and editing things to sound right as I went along, I intentionally held off on any editing during the entire arrangement process until I had a complete rough draft. That enabled me to focus purely on the musical ideas — staying immersed in the creative flow without breaking or complexifying it with technical details along the way.
The last time I did that was for my Hallelujah cover way back, and both were quite creatively “successful” experiences. So I can definitely see myself leaning further into it in the future, depending on the song. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this one! I’m feeling pretty great about how it turned out :)
