Talking HealthTech

We recently celebrated 500 episodes of the Talking HealthTech Podcast!

It started as a humble fortnightly audio podcast as a way for me to learn and connect more about this emerging field of digital health.

I was a big believer that there are SO MANY interesting stories and passionate people solving tricky problems, but not enough people knew about them to help them go from concept to reality.

Since then, we’ve helped thousands of other people learn and connect about healthcare innovation.

We’ve told countless stories of utilising technology to improve outcomes for patients and make the system better.

And throughout the years we’ve heard all the hype cycles of blockchain, telemedicine, interoperability and of course artificial intelligence.

In 2021 I made the bold decision to go “all in” and make THT my full time thing. And I’ve never looked back.

Don’t get me wrong - it’s been hard at times… but I wouldn’t change a thing. 🙏

We’ve helped bring a dozen other healthcare podcasts to life to reach even more people around the world. 🌏

This podcast has taken me all around the world - literally!

We are well beyond a humble little audio podcast now - supported by a growing team of 10+ wonderful humans in our team who help bring these stories to life.

We’ve evolved to a full blown media agency helping healthcare change makers tell their stories and make a positive impact to more patients.

40,000+ people from around the world consume our content every month…

… and still, I feel like we are just getting started. 😅

So in this episode of Talking HealthTech, I am joined by cohosts Dr Nathan Moore and Sophie Turner to reflect on the journey of THT, as well as our own personal journeys of career development and self discovery.

One thing I’m not so great at is celebrating the wins along the way. So this episode was a brief moment to reflect and take stock of what we’ve done so far. 😌

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get to this point - the warm intros, the words of encouragement, the constructive criticism and for wearing the socks.

Healthcare is indeed a team sport, and legit all this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people - too many to list here. You know who you are. 🫶

And what I said way back in 2018 on episode 1, is indeed so relevant today:

✨ Collaboration starts with a conversation…✨

… so let’s keep making it happen 🙌😉
